We made reservations for tonight’s dinner and there was only 2 or 3 other tables in the restaurant and one would expect excellent service. We order a bottle of wine for the 2 of us and the waiter asked what else we wanted to drink….Asked for water 3 times before we actually got it. We ordered our first small plate of shrimp which came out quickly but our 2nd small plate of pork dumplings didn’t come out for about 15 minutes when we inquired about them. It appears that he forgot to place that order. We got our main dishes of ramen and shrimp fried rice. No one checked on how our food was, poured us more wine or refilled our water till we asked. When we got our check I discovered that we were charged for 2 small plates and another fried rice we never ordered. The server asked us before we even ordered if we had been to their other restaurant in the centro area, we asked to look at that menu also for the future he said we don’t have that menu here. Last time we ate here on our last visit to pv last December we had a great time so that’s why we went back. Sorry we won’t be coming back here again as there are to many excellent dining spots and this is no longer one of them.More

Best food, excellent service! The food is served tapas style so order a variety of things off the menu. The kitchen and staff will do the rest and it is just so fun to see what they bring out as it is prepared. Don’t go…thinking it will be served in courses….order one of their AMAZING cocktails and just enjoy the meal as it comes out. Francie has made this place an experience you do not want to miss.More

Really enjoyed my ramen bowl! And the bao. Both delicious. This is a beautiful restaurant in a garden setting with both indoor and outdoor seating. Will go back when we return to PV!

When I am looking for Asian food in PV, I always find myself at Bonito Kitchen. The struggle I have is usually with which location to choose (Versalles & Romantic Zone)… I absolutely love them both! They are quaint, funky, fun, and calming all at…the same time. Best ramen! Best pork belly dumplings! Best Korean BBQ Ribs! And get the Takoyaki (octopus balls)! But on Thursdays, you have to try the wonton soup! Who cares if it’s 85° and humid! It’s perfect and can easily pair well with any of their fresh cocktails or lemonades. Did I mention their absolutely gorgeous cocktails!?? Most are made with fresh herbs, berries, and fruits. If I’m honest I usually order another one just to see what kind of creative artwork they will do with it!! The staff is super friendly, and super attentive! Oh, and another cool factor: every month part of their proceeds are donated to local and international charities covering a variety of causes. See, I told you it was a cool place!More

Was attended by 4 different waiters or staff members all were dressed different so I could not identify who was who, none.looked inviting, sweaty and stained clothes. Was served horrible lemonade that I only tasted then put of to the side hoping for someone.to come…by and ask if I needed anything. 45 minutes later I caught the attention of young man wearing apron so I asked if they could make my soup that I order at the same time.as the lemonade to go and please bring the check. To his credit he quickly realized something was wrong and brought the check then came back with my order and apologized for the long wait and asked if their was anything he could do.More

Absolutely amazing & delicious! The asian / vietnamese dishes were decadent. The food is great sharing foods. I ordered the tan tan ramen and it was spicy & delicious. I love how they offer the ‘baby’ portion. We also shared the shrimp summer rolls, fried…octopus, pork belly boa, and the korean bbq . The drinks were delicious. I got the pink martini! 10/10 would recommend.More

So sorry for the mistake. If you ordered the cheesecake and didn’t get, we’re really sorry about it. Our floor manager would have been able to correct the mistake immediately. Thank you for your visit, and we’re glad that you enjoyed the food. Sorry again.

You can definitely taste the care that goes into creating the perfect bowl of ramen that’s served at Bonito Kitchen. The broth is hearty and flavorful but not overwhelming and harmoniously paired with the tender pork belly or minced pork and authentic ramen noodles. You…are even able to design your own perfect version by adding in extra ingredients such as tamago (marinated soft boiled egg) which is so delicious and I highly recommend. In addition I was curious how they were able to procure the perfect ramen noodles and was pleased to find out that it came from a Japanese noodle maker in Mexico City and flown to Puerto Vallarta. The only thing to complain about, is that it’s impossible to try all the different ramen versions offered on the menu: Shoyu, Miso, Tan Tan, Vegetarian, Abura and Tonkotsu. Unless of course, you’re able to convince your dining group to order all of them, and be willing to share. The service here is also wonderful. They take the time to explain the food and help you chose the right dish for your taste. It’s a lovely place to enjoy ramen!More

This was my fourth visit this season. Needless to say I enjoy the restaurant. This trip was with my wife and foodie daughter. We ordered several different dishes to sample, including the pork belly bau. Add some spring rolls and grilled eggplant. Great starters. Them…an to the ramen. I love being able to order a baby bowl. Not too filling. Just perfect. Great drinks and service. We will be back.More

Worst meal in several years of eating and living here. After two hours and I still didn’t get my food, asked after others at the table were served and done with their meals and know one seemed to care, I did get half my food…so at two hours another man asked the manager why and she didn’t have an answer, but wanted to give us a bottle of wine, at that time we were done sitting and didn’t want more wine. The food that we did get was just mediocre at best. The special was won ton soup and it had three of the smallest won tons you’ve ever seen and most of the bowl was full of ramen noodles, the broth was very bland and tasteless, kept looking for a salt shaker! The manager tried to blame it on the bad service but we didn’t have bad service at all, the kitchen is just screwed up. A person who was there that night told us the kitchens always like this, interesting! Four people canceled their reservations for the next night after this experience and another couple did have dinner there the next night and had the same terrible experience we had. I really wanted to love this but it’s a definite no go.More

ordered a bottle of wine. Wrong bottle delivered and opened. Table for 5 after ordering two korean ribs delivered. 15 minutes later saigon rolls delivered. Nothing else. Asked about wonton soup which was Thursday special why not delivered three times. 45 minutes later soup showed…up. two entrees never did show up. Discussed with waitress and manager. Waitress advised kitchen problems are ongoing. Manager offered a round of drinks but did not seemed concerned. This a majot problem when a party of 5 can NOT get delivery of food in a timely manner within 2 hours. Management is not conerned. we asked for three seperate checks when ordering the drinks. you got it final bill all on one. NEVER EVER going back to this place. There are over 1000 resturants in Puerto Vallarta to choose from. Ever one of them has to better tan this.More

Plus four of the most innovative cocktails any of us ever had. Special shoutout…to the Hendricks based “Muze”. Highly recommended.More
