We had a great experience. We were immediately welcomed by staff and shown to our table. We enjoyed all of the delicious tapas, and our mains were delicious. The pork belly tapas were our favourite and the burrata salad was perfectly seasoned. A wonderful selection…of wines as well. A delightful owner and a charming waiter made our experience all the sweeter. I would definitely recommend this trendy spot to our friends.More
This place looked very cool from the outside so we stopped by with a friend for drinks two days ago. We loved the cocktails and decided to come back for tapas tonight and WOW!! We started with the Padrón Pementos and two different mezcal cocktails…and all were delicious. For dinner I ordered the Beef Galeguesa burger and chips and my hubby ordered their house specialty Polbo A Feira with Cachelos, a beautiful octopus dish. Both had amazing flavor and came with a beautiful presentation. Agustin, the owner and his staff were excellent and made us ????️???? feel very much at home. We are so happy to be discovering amazing places like this in our new neighborhood.More
What a wonderful experience! The host/ owner is very gracious, the place cute and cozy, and the food – as good as in Spain. We look forward to next time! Muchas gracias ????
It’s been a few years since we went to Spain last time. We could really have some decent tapas for a change. This restaurant is right in front of our apartment so really handy to try when it is raining heavily, just need to cross…the street. Nice little cozy place. Many different kinds of tapas to choose from. And some very authentic gallegan dishs such as the pulpos, not that I’m an expert of that region though… We ordered pork shoulder, cold cut meet really tasty. Three croquette with different flavours. And prawn in garlic oil. All delicious. Service is brilliant. Both English and Spanish speaking.More
Tucked away just off the main road, is this fabulous place for a sangria and tapas. The owner from Galicia is fabulous. Skip your mediocre all inclusive food and go across the street to find this gem.
While staying at the VallartaSol, we walked through the neighborhood to find a place to eat. We came upon La Gallega which is a Spanish flavoured eatery. We enjoyed the great service and delicious food that we arranged for another evening to dine. A gem…that should be sought out.More
The place is the really nice, the food , the music and the owner is so welcoming, is just such a great place to have a nice dinner and great company. Please visit this place with all your friends and Family.
Amazing little cafe that features tapas and Pintoxs! The food and service were amazing. This little cafe took us back to our trip two years ago to Spain. It’s a must to go to. You will not be disappointed!!!
Located on a quiet street on the south edge of barrio Versalles, this small Spanish style cafe was a delight. We had the rustic pizza and were happily impressed with the care and quality that went into our meal. The folks who work there were…super friendly and the atmosphere was unpretentious and relaxed. I’m looking forward to going back soon to try some of the tapas more interesting entrees. Highly recommended!More
First the plus side: the margaritas and the lemonade were both creative and delicious. On the down side, the food was just average. We were excited to try the restaurant after seeing the reviews on Tripadvisor, but we were three people, and none of us…particularly enjoyed any of our dishes. They weren’t bad. But compared with Barcelona Tapas, which is admittedly more expensive, the food here didn’t even approach the same league.More
This is THE BEST Spanish food out of Spain. Tremendous! SO AUTHENTIC. Ahhh it was delicious. Potatas Bravas, gamba al ajillo, tortilla paisana, and “Galician stew” sope were all equally delicious. A few glasses of vino tinto and, bam, one of the best meals I’ve…had in years. La Gallega a Taberna do Porto is another landmark in the Versailles Colonial food scene. Salute MarkMore
Thank you, Mark! Hope to see you soon at the tabern.
Many restaurants in PV claim and pretend to offer true European meals. And maybe some flavors are accurate but when it comes to life experiences beyond the food, I would absolutely recommend LA GALLEGA. It’s owner, Agustin, raised and born in Galicia, offers an exceptional…service, superb and yet casual quality meals with a really nice welcoming atmosphere. You surely would love to be there with your group of friends for an outstanding diner and delicious drinks, but mostly for the charming ambience. The music allows you to have a memorable conversation while enjoying the true “a Feira octopus”, unique in town. Definitely a must they you would love to visit over and over when visiting this Mexican piece of paradise. Ps. La Gallega offers 1906, one of the best beers I’ve ever had.More
Thank you! Love yo hear that you enjoyed your visit.
Lunch break. Dinner time. Any given day. Delicious fresh food: my favorite pizza in ALL of PV – perhaps all of Mexico! and then there are salads, tapas, craft beer, fantastic Crianza wine, and hands down the only real sangría in the country. The two…owners, Augustin from Galicia and Irvin the honorary local, are always a pleasure to chat with. This place has almost literally become my second home, and I am extremely picky about… well, everything. Viva la Gallega! ❤️More
Love to read It! Thanks for your visit and we’re glad you had a great time on our tabern.
Amazing flavors in every dish we had – even simple veggie burger is extra special there. Strawberry salad, anchovy sandwich, bruschetta — all superb! Our waiter was so nice and made us feel at home! One of our best family meals in PV!
Thats our main goal, glad you liked It.
Our dinner in La Gallega was amazing!! I absolutely recommend this place. We tried the famous octopus which was delicious and a couple of pizzas! Yummy! We also had some cocktails! Everything was perfect and people working there was really nice!
Glad that you liked our tabern! Hope to see you soon again!
