KARUMA is located at Garza Blanca resort it is open to both guest of the resort and the public. The host, Jimena, greeted us very nicely and was very attentive during dinner. She even offered a shall when it became a little chilly in the…evening. The servers, Antonio and Omar, were also great and offered superb service constantly checking in on us and explaining the dishes as they came out. They even offered to cut the empanada into two portions so we could share and cut our meat to check that it was cooked to our liking. We ordered the short rib chicharrón and empanada for appetizers and the tomahawk steak and the lyonnaise potatoes. Their meets are well prepared and met our expectations. This is an upscale restaurant that’s worth its value. While we were dining they also have live music on the night we were there it was a live saxophonist. Lastly, the night we visited they had a mixologist that had a table side bar. The drinks he prepared for us were delicious. We recommend KARUMA to anyone visiting Vallarta and looking for upscale dining.More
The beef cut was terrible, and thin. You would get a better steak at a Dennys at 3AM, for a lot less. Everything was so salty, it “burnt” our tougues. Save your $$$..out
My husband and I visit Puerto Vallarta Mexico several times a year. We went to dinner at Karuma gourmet Grill in Tierraluna Village for dinner tonight for her Birthday. The whole dinner experience was amazing. Truly a hidden gem. The hostess Jimena was a wonderful…host and our waiters Antonio and Enrique were amazing. We travel all over and have visited many great restaurants but this dinner was an amazing experience and at the top of our list. The service, atmosphere and food were simply amazing! We have an incredible time! Our experience begun with our friendly hostess, Jimena. She was sweet and very kind. Our waiters were Enrique and Antonio. They were knowledgeable and gave us the best recommendations. The food! My GOD! It’s is not unusual for us to…go out to nice restaurants where we’re from (Madison, Wisconsin) and this food surpassed most places we’ve ever been to! The brisket melted in our mouths and the chicken was tender and crisp. The spinach salad was lovely and the beef short rib appetizer was to die for. I think the food was the best I’ve ever had. That chef is outstanding! What was even more special is when we told them it was our one year anniversary (Jimena asked )they have us a plate of a little fruit and a bit of dessert with congratulations written out in chocolate. They didn’t have to that and it the added small touches that made it so memorable. The service was prompt, the staff friendly, and the atmosphere lovely. It was a magical night in Puerto Vallarta. I recommend this place 100%! Oh, and their live music, a woman was playing the flute to popular music. Perfect. She was so talented and it was the perfect volume. Karume was an amazing experience! From the moment we arrived, Jimena greeted us and asked if we were celebrating anything and took down our friends names who had birthdays today. Our waiters Omar and Antonio were so knowledgeable about the menu and their recommendations did…not steer us wrong!More
Came here for a bday dinner and it was fantastic! Would def come back again. Omar and Antonio were amazing and very attentive. Jimena was an awesome hostess. We would definitely be back!
The steaks were delicious and the ambience was breathtaking. The staff, though dedicated and courteous, were disorganized.
This was our first visit to Karuma. The view and atmosphere were great. Our servers Enrique and Antonio were excellent. Enrique chose an excellent bottle of wine for us. We loved dining at Karuma!! We were celebrating my parents 40th anniversary, and Enrique, Antonio and Manuel made the occasion so special for my family. They were incredibly attentive and answered all of our questions about the different dishes and helped us pick things to…share. They are very knowledgeable about the different cuts of meat and gave a really fun demonstration when they were carving up the bone-in ribeye. Plus they gave us a super adorable goodbye dessert platter. Everything was perfect, we had a great time and can’t wait to go back.More

Exceptional meal, innovative cocktails, beautiful ambiance and best in class service! I’ve been to PV many times but this is our first visit to Tierraluna gardens. It’s just gorgeous! We started with amazing cocktails (can’t say enough about the head bartender, he is a cocktail…magician). Espresso martini best I’ve ever had. At the table we had short rib and empanada appetizer, on recommendation from our server Enrique. So flavorful. We also ordered the chicken (so juicy) and baby lamb – uniquely served in a pot with tortilla shells to make into tacos. The other servers (Erik and Ricardo) helped with wine selections and making the night enjoyable. We all voted it our best meal with attentive service. Will be back!!More
