What a wonderful evening dining at Gaviotas. From being greeted by the hostess Elizabeth and offered a welcome drink by mixologist Gustavo. The dishes were presented with such creative elegance and tasted amazing with so much depth of flavour, absolutely delicious. Our waiters were so…attentive and friendly, thank you Hector and Pablo for making it such an enjoyable experience. In fact, we went back a second evening. The ambiance of the restaurant is delightful with live piano music played in the background.More

Gaviotas was one of my best restaurant experiences all year! Yeah, I know. I also wasn’t expecting this at an all-inclusive Sheraton resort in Mexico. However, the food here was stellar. The creativity and execution of every dish was top notch. I particularly loved the…flower salad, with its gelatin fruit caviar.and the steak, which was cooked to an incredibly tender medium rare. My partner came here over four nights and loved every dining experience. We ordered pretty much everything on the menu over the course of the week. The service is fantastic. Extra big shout outs to Pablo and Saul, who provided five star service and made us feel completely at home. Dining out on the terrace, where every night there was a fireworks display somewhere along the bay. I would highly recommend a visit here to anyone visiting Puerto Vallarta.More

Si bien es un complejo antiguo, la ubicación es perfecta (puede caminar hasta la ciudad) y el personal es excelente. Realmente disfrutamos de nuestra experiencia gastronómica en…su restaurante de especialidades, Gaviotas, donde nuestros meseros, Saúl y Víctor, fueron muy amables, serviciales y entretenidos. Volveremos. In English: My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton Buganvilla. While it is an older resort, the location is perfect(you can walk into town) and the staff are great. We really enjoyed our dining experience at their speciality restaurant, Gaviotas where our waiters, Saul and Victor were very friendly, accommodating, as well as entertaining. We will return.More

We had the fish of the day and flower salads, both were delicious, lots flavor, they also served some in house appetizers, the mixologist makes delicious drinks. The atmosphere is relaxing and beautiful. Our waiters Victor and Soul were excellent, very attentive, very, very good…service. We will definitely visit again. Everyone was very nice.More

Unfortunately, this restaurant did not deliver as it has in the past. The Service was below par. The welcome drink could not be accommodated for Gluten Free (all the had to do was swop the vodka????) Two of the main dishes (the only fowl dishes…available for those who don’t eat beef) and the main house salad was not available. We wanted to get up and leave immediately but my husband convinced me to stay. My lobster was good, albeit a little cold. All in all…probably won’t be back here for a while. Very disappointed as this was one of our favorites.More

From the moment I walked in and was greeted by the hostess and offered a welcome cocktail crafted by the brilliant mixologist on site, Gustavo, I was thrilled. This experience has been top-notch and the service is exquisite, some of the best I have ever…had. My two servers were extremely attentive, helpful and kind. Gustavo came by my table to offer me a custom cocktail of my choice with the spirit of choice. He brought his mixology station table side and made it right in front of me. The margarita was delicious and exactly as I hoped for! I can’t reccomend this restaurant, staff and experience more. Service and food was exceptional. Although all staff were very attentive, Victor and Hector were extremely friendly and helpful. We were lucky to have them as our servers both nights we went. Yes, the food was so good that we went back a second night….Beef steak was mouthwatering and truly melted in mouth; no knife needed. It was slightly salty for my normally bland tastebuds but nonetheless it was delicious. My boyfriend raves about the corn chowder and slurped it down both nights. Salmon was cooked to perfection. Shrimp pasta was good but it is on the spicy/hot side (chipotle). Splurge and enjoy the desserts; you won’t go wrong with any of them. We were also pleasantly greeted with a fresh squeezed fruit vodka cocktail made by the mixologist as we entered. Note, reservations required. And, they’re serious about the No shorts or sandals policy (males). We only packed for a tropical vacation but luckily my boyfriend had one pair of jeans, polo, and sneakers that they allowed. I wore a simple dress with sandals. Some men were wearing tshirts with jeans that was pushing it on appropriateness/offensiveness. You will not be disappointed— excellent food and service! And remember to be kind and tip your waiters!More

If you’re looking for a romantic fine dining experience, look no further than Gaviota’s. Their menu options are Devine, their staff are excellent, and their venue is breathtaking. From the panoramic ocean view, to the romantic pianist playing in the background, this has been one…of my favorite restaurants since we discovered it last year. The food is unquestionably the finest quality with the utmost attention to detail in the presentation and ingredients used to create their dishes. My wife and I came to the Sheraton for our honeymoon. It was our first time in Mexico. So we wanted to celebrate with a nice dinner at Gaviotas. Our servers Pablo and David were so kind and attentive, making us feel very special and…looked after. We had a wonderful experience.
