Went here because of these reviews–and I was not disappointed. It was a Sunday night about 8pm, and not even half full. A large menu, and I picked out the shrimp at the bottom of the menu. Two kinds, one deep fried Perfectly, and the…other shrimp in a light red sauce that was wonderful and I could not identify: Fun. So about 8 large shrimps sitting on a wonderful thin filet of fish–fabulous! I’ve been to PV 20 times, but never have eaten here, and will definitely return, Oh, service was excellent and happy.More

One of my all time favorite restaurants in PV. A small, concise menu, with all winning dishes. They’re family owned and ran, with a nice selection of beers and wine. There’s a little bit of something for everyone on the menu- I always suggest getting…the cheese fondue appetizer. It’s ridiculously delicious. It’s pricier than a lot in town, but I think it’s 100% worth it.More

Came with my family and between us ordered the two types of steak on the menu, the creamy shrimp pasta and the fruit of the sea. All were delicious, especially the steaks. So tender, I wanted to go back the next night! Service was kind…and attentive, and the father and chef came out and chatted with us after the meal. An exceptional experience. Was so happy to find this quiet, cosy restaurant. Wish we had visited during lobster season!More

Romantic dinner in this quaint restaurant in the heart of a neighbourhood bursting with life . I had the jumbo prawns which were done to perfection. My husband had Fruits de Mare which was rich and savoury. Service was excellent.

Chenanfos was just around the corner from us, so naturally we tried it. We were glad we did. We ate early, so got in without a reservation. It is a small, cozy, modern restaurant with a lovely menu. Service was attentive and friendly. I had…the octopus in garlic sauce…my spouse had a seafood medley, with shrimp, scallop, octopus and fish. Both were excellently seasoned and prepared….the octopus was very tender. There is not much on the menu for dessert, though that is not something we missed. Dinner was $330 mxn per person. We can recommend and will be back.More

Didn’t know to go for dinner tonight. Saw Chenan2 had really good reviews and it close to where we were. A young man greeted us at the door and welcomed us in. We chose seat next the window. After taking our drink orders, the chef/owner…came out to greet us. After some small talk he headed back to the kitchen. Street noise stared to get louder and owner came out and closed sparkling clean windows and the door so we could better enjoy the great easy jazz they had playing. We ordered a salad to start. My husband said he thought it may have been the best he had ever had. It came with warm bread. Mmmmm! For our main corse we shared the shrimp over what had to have been homemade fettuccine in an amazing sauce. We usually share an entree because the servings are so generous. What a treat. We have had a lot of good meals in our almost two months here, but this may have been the best. Great ambiance, wonderful service and amazing food. Thank you.More

The Chef/ Owner greets you at your table. His sons wait on you, it’s truly a family affair. So quaint. A Texan recommended to us. According to him, this is the only restaurant where he eats steak outside of Texas. He was not wrong. The…food is that good! Off the beaten path, but so worth the find. On our return list next PV visit.More

There were 4 of us dining there this evening. Delicious. 2 had wonderful steaks and 2 had their fish special. All were wonderful. Their sauces were excellent. It was an absolutely lovely evening. We were not rushed. It is family owned. I live it when…the chef comes out to talk with you. Highly recommend. They are located only 4 blocks crossing Rte. 200. Special place. A hidden gem, so I recommend you go find it.More

We recently ate at Chenando’s for the first time, and will be looking forward to returning. Our group had seafood pasta, fruit of the sea and seafood burrito (huge!)–all were very good. Good atmosphere and service, always nice when the chef greets the tables. Credit…cards not accepted, but you should always be prepared for that in PV. Great place!More

Went with a large group and everyone was very satisfied with their delicious food. They are taking sensible precautions, so we felt very safe dining there. The family serves great food at a great value. Don’t overlook this gem.

I’ve been visiting Vallarta for 8 years and have some how overlooked this charming, family run restaurant. Seeing I dined alone, I didn’t get to sample as much as I would normally but the mixed salad and shrimp pasta was fantastic. The complimentary bread is…some of the best around and just what I needed for the lobster sauce. Fernando, the chef’s son greets you with a smile and wonderful service. I am anxious to return!More
