First discovered Martini en Fuego on our last trip prior to COVID. Food – what a treat. But on that trip, we saw our first example of what unfortunately seems to be a trend. We were seated at a table that apparently has been requested…and reserved by someone else. That someone else arrived, and was very (as in very) upset her reserved table was given to us. Didn’t think anything more about it – probably a glitch in their reservation system. This most recent trip (just concluded) we ate at Martini en Fuego twice. The first time (as a couple) inside at a table for four. No problem. The second time, joined by our son, we also ate a table for four. We had reserved a table inside and when we got to the table the waiter picked up three different reserved tabs – each with a separate name. He found ours and we were seated. What happened to the others I have no idea. Our third attempt – when we had reserved a table for two, once again inside – did not go well. We arrived, and even though there were tables for four available inside, and they had our reservation, we were told we would have to wait for a sidewalk table for two. Twice we told them we had reserved inside and twice they told us we would have to sit outside, as only outside tables were available for two people. Even though we could see a party of two sitting at a table for four. And another couple who were waiting for a table told us they were going inside to their table in approximately ten minutes. The food at this restaurant is excellent. But come on. This isn’t a Seinfeld episode. If you take a reservation, then honour it. Really bad business practice to stiff your customers. We have long memories and there are lots of new restaurants opening in PV. Hopefully you can figure this out before we come back later this year.More
Just finished our New Year’s Eve dinner at Martini and Fuego. Delicious perfectly cooked steak and lobster. The starters were a wonderfully seasoned field green salad and a seafood bisque soup. Joshua, our waiter, was friendly, accommodating, and efficient. We didn’t realize it was a…cash only business until we had been sat and we’re having a drink. There was no problem when we advised we needed a trip to the local ATM to get pesos. The owner and chef, Roberto, came to our table and encouraged us to sit and enjoy our dinner. The tab could be dealt with later. After dinner, when we returned with our payment, Roberto shared some of the history of the restaurant with us, hugged us both and wished us a very happy new year. What a lovely man, and a lovely ending to 2022.More
Martini en Fuego came highly recommended and we saved the best for last! The service was incredible and the food was even better! Johan was incredibly attentive and kind. The Head Chef, Roberto, came around and had genuine warm conversation with all of his patrons….If you’re looking for a delicious meal in the heart of the romantic zone this is your spot! Just a tip, this is a cash-only establishment and there is an ATM around the corner 🙂More
Ordered the nightly special Red Snapper. 790 pesos and couldn’t eat it. Full of bones. The staff said sorry order something different next time. Took nothing off our bill. We will not ever return.
A beautiful small restaurant with big plates of food! Roberto and his staff took outstanding care of us from start to finish. The Ceviche was the perfect appetizer followed by a HUGE plate of coconut shrimp, shrimp tails, lobster, clams… you name it, we had…it on our dinner plate! The staff were friendly and Robert walked around in between making food to make sure all of his customers felt part of the family. A fun place with great atmosphere and outstanding fresh food!More
Service was excellent, food was excellent, music was excellent, Roberto, the owner, loved that he visited our table! Martini En Fuego just can’t be beat!
Followed trip advisor. Did not miss a beat. Fresh food, warm service. Surprised us with a nice complimentary dessert. Highly advise if u can get in!
Great food and service. You’ll pass this place if you don’t know it’s here. The staff has a lot of ‘extras’ for patrons, including desert, shot of tequila, small salad and excellent service.
Our family enjoyed a variety of delicious fish, shrimp, steak, stuffed peppers, and enchiladas at our visit last night. This cozy restaurant spoiled us with great drinks, a friendly chef, and complementary tequila and desserts. Highly recommend you visit!
We walked in with no knowledge of this restaurant. There was one table outside in one table inside that had been sat. Looked at the menu and thought very expensive and no guest. Within 30 minutes there was a line outside. Staff was great and…the food was awesome. Glad we found it and I did see they thank you I think me and her are you all right thank you I need a bigger place reservation?More
Alejandro greeted us as we entered and kindly shared all the amazing dishes the chef was making specially for that evening. Following our order we were treated to a delicious appetizer compliments of the chef. Our food was perfect, served with such hospitality, as though…they were serving those they called family. When we asked for our bill we were treated to complimentary chocolate flan and a house distilled pear tequila. If you are in PV, make this a must. You will enjoy every bite!More
Review update: Well, he’s still making the best food in Puerto Vallarta. Great food, friendly service, wonderful gifts from the chef and Kitchen, and an amazing welcome from the chef. Call ahead for a reservation so you aren’t disappointed.
Taxi driver almost missed the restaurant, small out of the way, were greeted by happy wait staff, and music with guitarist. Ordered glasses of white wine. and my wife ordered the Lobster grilled, and I the shrimp fiesta, and split a salad. Food was fantastic!…we ordered another glass of wine, and kept pouring and they charged us for the bottle which was cheaper in the long run. Then they brought ice cream desert on the house and a shot of Anejo as well which was very smooth. Will be back!More
Are you searching for delicious food in a welcoming restaurant? If so, you have searched in the right place! Martini en Fuego serves some of the best food I’ve had in Mexico. And the service is outstanding. You feel as if you are part of…an extended family there. Roberto is warm and welcoming and the menu is Inter with not a poor choice on it. I had shrimp with lemon and capers over fettuccine. Soooo delicious the flavors burst in your mouth. And the lemon drop martini was perfectly tartMore
