Avant-garde tostadas !!! Hidden jewel in Versalles. Small and cozy place, with amazing and creative tostada based menu. Simply delicious and well attended. Of course will come back.
The venue is Mexican simple hip design favored by hipsters and the cooler peeps. The food is overall very good and tasty.. Prices are high and portions are (too) large, so maybe smaller plates and a gentle bill would be a good idea.. set up…as it is 2 plates for 3 is good for lunch. Negatives: It was all very heavy on the sodium and while it brags the freshness of the dishes, tuna was frozen for sure. It’s loud, echoing groups makes this place not a best choice for a date or a business lunch. Overall I welcome new places that make the effort to not layout their place like some ugly tourist trap. Today I joined two friends for lunch at a “Mexican” restaurant that has been open for 3 years and only ten minutes from Grand Venetian. It not only offered a unique menu of fresh seafood, but also fresh salsas to accompany their homemade tostadas. Very…clean ambiance, open 7 days a week and gets busy between 2 & 4:00. Our server, Daniel, graciously described several menu choices.More
My husband and I ate lunch here and our meal was superb. We tried 4 different ceviche varieties which come on a blue corn tostada. The fish is fresh and prepared to perfection. In addition, the space is clean with art hanging on the bright…white walls. The staff is professional. Well done Lamara! We will be back!More
Good ceviche with a lot of variety, and a good assortment of cocktails. Excellent service and attention to details, the staff makes you feel like you’re in the neighborhood. The menus in English is a nice touch.
Loved this restaurant!! Not a lot of seating, a pretty small shop where we were, but they may also provide dishes to the fancier looking sit down spot on the corner, not sure. The fish was all so fresh and a great variety of ceviches…with different flavors and ingredients, all made to order, fast and delicious.More
Didn’t really know what to expect….reviews were very good…lets give it a try. Very popular, clean and modern decor. All the workers were so patient …extremely nice. Food was original, tasty and inexpensive… loved the ceviches…served water flavoured with limes, pineapple and basil…yummy refreshing. For…dessert …chocolate tart to die for…Left satisfied as we passed a crowd of hungry people waiting for their turn.More

I have been a couple of times to eat some of the very good ceviches. Their mixes are great, the portions are fabulous for adults. The only reasons that I do not give a 5 stars is that it’s not a kid-friendly restaurant (no options…for kids food), and unless you mention not to add extra salt (to the already salty fish/seafood), they add too much of it.More
The trip to Puerto Vallarta is worth just to eat a Lamara. The tuna ceviche or the agua chile are to die for (the tostadas are so yummy that we even bought a package to bring them back home ). Highly recommended
I really like this restaurant, the tostadas are the best and don’t forget to have some fresh water like the coconut lime mix. If you go with kids you can ask for a chili free tostada. It can get full at peak hours.
This is the best place in PV for Ceviche. It is FRESH and there are so many different varieties that it will blow your mind. The are open for lunch and close at 7:00 PM which is a MISTAKE because they could have a HUGE…dinner business if they would just stay open a little later.More
We found this little gem on TA on our last day in Puerto Vallarta. We absolutely loved it. Everything there is ceviche style: shrimp, ceviche (with white fish), or tuna, each variety served with a long list of variations of sauces and additional ingredients. Ours…came as a simple tostada: two perfectly fresh, crisp artisan tostadas supporting a mound of incredibly savory ceviche. The service was warm and laid back, and the owner let us peek through the window into the immaculate kitchen where the magic happened. We would have gone back again and again if we had discovered it before our last day!More
We just had an absolutely winderful meal at Lamara. Their tapas-sized ceviche dushes allow you to try a few; we found that 3 shared amongst 2 people with drinks made for a fully satisfying meal. It’s not fine dining, but neither are you paying fine…dining prices. Three ceviches with drinks will set you back about 300-400 pesos. There is a wide range of craft beer on offer, including at least 3 different IPAs; a real treat after the usual Corona and San Miguel at most restaurants. We will definitely return!More
The food was so fresh and the portions were so huge. Great for sharing!! I would really recommend checking this place out.
