Met a friend for lunch at the downtown beachfront location. Had the tomatlan salad while my friend had the shrimp pastor tacos. Both were excellent! The drinks were well done and the view cannot be beat. Highly recommend.

We stopped by and were greeted with a warm welcome. We had the Peruvian fish ceviche and the Caesar salad. Our drinks were yummy (cappuccino and a mojito). Overall it was excellent.

We had the shrimps appetizer, red snapper, octopus, beef tacos and fish tacos. The meal was all together forgettable and we won’t return.

Location, Location, Location. With that in mind the El Barracuda provides seaside dining ( you can swim between courses) Indoor dining also provides a great view of the Bay. Of particular note is the fact that the servers are not in any way taking your…order, serving your food and hoping you will leave so that they can have another seating, Quite the contrary. Our party of four enjoyed a five hours meal, had to lasso the server to order our appetizers and later our dinners. The wine list is not extensive, but expensive, and a well chosen selection. .The theme is seafood, therefore challenge the menu, and if you want appropriate spices to flame the pallet — ask. Upon our departure our server summoned a taxi , muchly appreciated,More

On the beach so you know your going to pay more for that. We enjoyed our lunch of Baja shrimp tacos and shrimp burger but the fries were not fresh, cold. Service is OK. The music was a little loud for conversation. But we will…probably go back since we love the 5th de December neighbor.More

Nothing special about this place except it’s on the beach. Food was average and way overpriced. We were told the seafood was fresh and local but I doubt it upon tasting. Substandard

Very average, we were recommended the coconut shrimp and it was ok, not terrible but can’t say it was great. Had the cantaloupe mojito and was tasteless, returned it for the cucumber mojito. Staff was nice but service was C+. Never gave us more salsas…or chips, didn’t bring us chips when guac was ordered, messed up 1/2 of our drink orders. It sits right in the beach and that’s the main selling point. You’re here for the sunset view, not for the foodMore

El Barracuda and it’s neighbor restaurant/bar “El Solar” are, as I understand it, owned by two brothers. El Solar is typically more casual/friendly and El Barracuda is more for dining, but the restaurant for both is located on the Barracuda side. We are locals, and…this evening we arrived on the El Solar side. They did not have an open beach area for us, but the waiter said he could place us on the El Barracuda side which has the same menu (which we were aware of, as the kitchen is on El Barracuda side). We ordered two Corona Lights, fries, and nachos. (The Coronas were 55 pesos which we can buy at La Playa for 19 Pesos) and the waiter said he could not serve us fries and nachos on the Barracuda side and we would have to go sit on the Solar side to order fries and nachos, despite the fact it came from their kitchen. Waiter said they just want to move tables, even though it was basically empty on Barracuda side and comes from their kitchen. They seem to be self-impressed and obviously for that fact, their side was empty and Solar full. I always prefer Solar over Barracuda.More

Try the shrimp pastor tacos, they are so good. I lived in Mexico for 6 months earlier this year (2022) and came here often to enjoy the tacos, view and good service. Unfortunately, tried the Punta Mita location and it wasn’t the same. But the…PV location is hands down really good and consistent.More

I ordered flank steak and grilled shrimp which were very good, tender steak and not too big. My hubby had the ribeye steak and coconut shrimp. The coconut shrimp is very yummy! Both steaks were cooked to the doneness we requested. Salsa and chips were…served before the meal. Garlic bread and French fries accompanied the meal. It was nice to sit at the beach table instead of sitting inside. Our server was prompt and attentive. We felt the prices were reasonable. We would definitely recommend eating at El Barracuda and we’ll be back.More

This was my first visit to this restaurant at Camarones Beach. They seemed to have plenty of seating available on the sandy beach (although it was rocky closer to the water) and also on the deck overlooking the beach and we were quickly seated. The…drink prices were somewhat higher than we were used to at the restaurants at the nearby Los Muertos Beach, but service was good. For lunch, I ordered the cheese chicharrones (fried cheese) with piquin octopus. Piquin is a type of pepper that had a good flavor and was not spicy. It was similar to a quesadilla. I then had tortilla soup for my main course which was just average. It would have been better with some chicken added to it. My wife ordered the seafood casserole ($14 US) which she really liked. The portion sizes were plenty for lunch but might not be enough for a dinner meal.More
