Dinner was excellent every time we ate at la Ribera. We took some fillets. (Maui Maui we caught while fishing) The chef did a fantastic job preparing the fillets for us. Our waiter Enrique Robles is very good at his craft bringing us special attention…and then some.More
Casual but proper attire, with a beach side atmosphere. Off the menu or buffet dinning plus a full cocktail/wine list availability.
Belonging to the Velas Vallarta facility, it is a genuine diamond. The offerings are available in a buffet and/or a menu. The service is impecable and attention to detail amazing. I lked the beef offerings, especially the rib eye. It is a thin cut so…I ordered it medium rare and had closer to medium, Our grandson kept ordering the portabella plate and loved it. The buffet table was a solid presentation and had classics like potatos, chicken, & pasta dishes. We loved the salad bar offerings and the crepe table was spectacular. We were there for an all-inclusive experience and would have gone as regular paying patrons. This is a great fun venue and if the Mariachis are playing it’s even better!More
My wife and i had the honor of traveling back to Puerto Vallarta. From the first time we visited Puerto Vallarta we truly fell in love with it. From visiting other tropical places im Mexico this is truly our favorite place to visit and spend…our vacation there. While in Puerto Vallarta we also had the honor of staying at Velas resort for the second time. While staying in Velas we loved visiting the restaurants that they have to dine in.. the food is rich and authentic and many options to choose from the open menu. The staff is very professional and pleasant. While my wife and I were at Velas we dine most of the time in the Ribera restaurant. We had the honor of getting to know one of the servers that immediately made himself available to us. His name is Alan Andrade you can tell that he is a very valuable employee to Velas resort. He was able accommodate us and explained the menu to us and of all the options. You can truly tell that he has a true passion in what he does.More
My husband and I were vacationing at Velas Vallarta for our second year in a row. Never expected to fall in love of a place I’ve heard people mention before. This time around I’ve fallen in love even more. Everyone is wonderful and well mannered….I LOVE La Ribera Restaurant and its very authentic Mexican food. The staff is wonderful from the wait staff to the chef and of course, the captain. On our first evening at La Ribera this time around, my husband and I were blessed to meet this wonderful young man named Alan Andrade who was our server. From the moment we stepped foot inside the restaurant, Alan was readily available and most attentive to provide us with the best service we’ve yet to receive. He made us feel like family. There wasn’t a question he didn’t have an answer for when it came to food. Alan knew exactly how to make us feel welcomed in this place I like to call paradise. He’s worth gold! We are so grateful for all the times he was there and made our stay a better one. Until next time! Hopefully, Alan will be there to welcome us ❤️More

What a gem this restaurant is! Such delicious food and perfectly prepared! A big thank you to Alan Andrade and Erik Gulliver for their excellent service!
We were staying at Velas Resort as guests of friends who owned a timeshare. We stayed 5 days, but it was not until the 4th day that we accidentally found out by way of a request for a mask. The manager asked if we were…staying at the resort. When he was told we were staying in a timeshare, he mentioned that we had an $80 credit at their restaurants or stores. We had not been informed of this and had been dining at other places. So we went to the resort owned La Ribera for breakfast, since it would be free. I do not know what the normal charge is for breakfast here, but all four of us had the buffet. Coffee, juice and water was brought to our table and it was great efficient service. for food we had to grab a plate and go to the buffet where it was encased in glass (due to covid restrictions I guess). We each had to point to an item behind the glass and a chef would dish it up. Return trips were allowed. The choices were good, but the food was not that great. It is an open air restaurant right on the beach, but they had heavy plastic covering the sides so the view was not really a view. I would not pay to have breakfast here.More
Open-air full-service restaurant. All waiters masked and shielded, protocol for safe healthy dining. Great food and drinks, good service, and ambiance amazing. Casual attire and open breakfast, lunch and dinner.More

The food was just OK, Every plate is brought to the table covered in plastic wrap. No other restaurant in town does that. I guess it is supposed to make you feel safe? Ridiculous.More

Feb 22-29, 2020 La Ribera Restaurant Velas Vallarta PV We visited quite a few times La Ribera for lunch or dinner but they also have breakfast. We were at the resort a week so we varied up our dining on-site. It is a lovely open-air…restaurant overlooking the beach and ocean. They have a buffet or a menu along with a salad bar. The menu is varied and service is always good as expected. No reservations are needed and the ambience is beautiful day or night. Be sure not to miss La Ribera when at Velas Vallarta. Obviously our trip and stay were pre-COVID so I look forward to returning to see what the new environment brings.More

Stayed at the Velas Resort and ate breakfast here most days. Chose the buffet due to offerings, rather than the menu. Had omelets that were tailored to your individual tastes. A nice selction of fruits/juices/breads and beverages (including alcoholic, if desired). Great views of the…beach/waves/boats and no bugs while eating!More

The view is nice. Have to walk down a very steep step to get to best tables. Service is always good and there is nothing wrong work the food, but it isn’t particularly good, just ok. It’s fresh and neither over it under cooked, but…you’ll forget this meal as soon as you leave. Might not forget the prices. High for what you get.More
