We were walking down the street and the owner asked if we were hungry and wanted to try his place. We at first said no and then after a few blocks decided to go back just over how polite he was. Boy are we glad…we did! We had the special that night. LASAGNA!!! The special included salad and a glass of wine. Everything was spot on!! Our server JuanCarlos was icing on the dining cake!!! If you like Italian food you gotta try Sapori Di Sicillia!!More
A very wonderful experience served to us by a chef and staff that takes pride in what they do from excellent quality to a beautiful presentation. During our PV visit (May 2019) they were one of many restaurants participating in a seasonal promotion which featured…pre fixe menus with interesting choices of appetizers, main dishes and desserts. I had carpaccio (YUM), my husband had the caprese salad and we both had scallopini for the main course. Then came dessert! I am not a dessert person but both our choices were over the top. Delicious and beautiful!More
Food is awesome and service was excellent…..Friends brought us there last December and we are planning dinner there with friends soon………
Awesome experience at this small authentic Italian place in the heart of Puerto Vallarta’s Romántica Zone. The place specializes in Southern Italian food with fresh Tagliatelle pasta having a dominant place on the menu. Very good service and personal feel. You can sit inside or…outside. I had the Tagliatelle alla Siciliana and it was so good. My companions had the Tagliatelle Frutti di Mare and stated it was very good.More
Had a great seafood dish of red snapper. Ate much of my wife’s al’fredo. Drinks were generous and tasty.
We had super/dinner here twice and received incredibly attentive, skilled and friendly services from the older handsome waiters. We took the Sunday night special both times. The first time it was excellent. Truly the best lasagne I have eaten. The 2nd time was sadly not…so good. I ordered the same but it was mediocre. Still, we had a nice time both visits and we’ll be back.More
Everything fantastic. Food, service and atmosphere. would highly recommend to everyone/ After dinner go across the street for great music and drinks
Walked by here many times and thought we might like to try it, but did not want to sit on the street across from the noise. Finally took a closer look and saw that they had inside seating available. That was our choice, and it…was a good one. The decor is great and just far enough away from the music to have it as background. Service was very friendly, and fast. Free bruschetta to start, which was excellent. Nice warm bread with oil, balsamic vinegar and a picante oil for dipping. We shared a Caprese salad, generous slices of both tomato and cheese, topped with a nice pesto. Mains were lasagna and a seafood pasta with shrimp, mussels and red snapper. Very generous servings. We ended our meal with an amazing Panna cotta. Free Limoncello was a great finish to our dinner. Will return.More
We were 2 adults that ate at this restaurant on February 14, 2019. We discovered this restaurant several years ago by accident. It was in a different location. Every time we come to PV, we eat here 2-3 times. Never disappointed. Now it is on…one of the main streets in the Old Town. We had just arrived from Montreal and we wanted a very good meal. So, we came to this restaurant as it is always super. My friend started with smoked tuna carpacio, which was excellent. The next course was a Ceasar Salad, which was wonderful. I was not very hungry so I just had one course, a seafood pasta dish. Outstanding!! The wine was a Lambrusco, which we very much enjoyed. While we were eating the chef, Luca, recognized us and came to chat. Our waiter, Raimondo, was very attentive & helpful. We are here for another 4 weeks so we will return, at least, another 2-3 times!More
We decided to try this restaurant as it looked inviting. What a mistake! I ordered an ensalata mista. The lettuce was old, brown and inedible. Pieces were rotten mush. I sent it back. The fact that anyone in the kitchen thought it was ok to…serve this and let it get to a table is enough to avoid this restaurant. Part of my main course of mixed seafood tagliatelle was cold. I have never had this dish with cold seafood. The cooked fish I think was tuna was mush. I sent the dish back. I rarely send food back. The chef came out all apologetic. Cooked a new dish of pasta and shrimp for me. It was good not great. My husband’s lasagna was ok. The bill came. We were charged for the salad. That should have come off the bill. No one offered us a dessert or drink to compensate for the terrible food experience. Very bad way of doing business. With all the restaurants in Puerto Vallarta, why eat here?More
Four of us dined on the sidewalk patio of this small but mighty restaurant. The owner Lucia, greeted us and told us he had prepared some appetizers for us to enjoy. Wow, the appetizers were fantastic, the taste and presentation perfect. Our Italian guest was…very impressed with the food. Don’t expect quite unless you dine insideMore
Food was okay but service was poor. One of our party never got their dinner. The checks were not correct. There are too many good restaurants in PV to bother with this one.
We tried this Italian restaurant. It was adequate – not outstanding however. The bread with olive oil and balsamic is a nice touch as you are waiting for the food. We found the food a little bland – lacking that wow factor flavour. I started…with Caesar salad – tasted like a bought creamy dressing – no lemon flavour, or glarlic or anchovies. The waiter actually forgot to put in our main dinner order – which was lasagna. Which made for a rather long wait for the food. I guess my standards for lasagna are high as I do make my own – noodles and all from scratch. So we were a little disappointed. We have eaten at better Italian restaurants in the area.More
My wife and I were looking for authentic Italian. We love more southern Italian and Sicilian style of cooking. We decided to give this place a go. We were greeted by Chef Luca. A true Sicilian! He is extremely well trained and has Michelin starred…items on his menu. I had the Sicilian lasagne! Amazing! All the pasta is made fresh on sight. So is the Italian sausage. Some of his sauces are gently and meticulously prepared over an48 hour process. My wife had tagliatelle with frutti di mare. Incredible. Great complexities in the sauce complementing one another to create a true Sicilian experience for your palate! We were so impressed with the dishes we decided to try a pizza. The dough was of course made fresh and had a wonderful taste and consistency. The mozzarella cheese was so good I could’ve sworn it was buffalo! We ended up by having a great conversation with chef Luca. Give it a go- you won’t be disappointed. I’m from Calabria- this is as authentic as you will find here.More
Just left Sapori di Sicilia after having dinner. It was delicious, delightful and delectable!!! We heartily recommend it!
