First of all, I can’t begin to say enough good things about the location, the service and the exceptional time we had here. Perched perfectly above the beach with the most incredible sunset views you could wish for. The ambiance is lovely, the food very…good and the drinks delicious. We booked a private event and truly, words will never begin to express my gratitude for the impeccable service, attention to every little detail and taking every bit of stress out of planning. Liliana was kind, patient and so lovely in arranging all my dreams. When the weather decided to intervene, we never knew. The staff simply adjusted and our party continued. For a romantic dinner, an incredible space for an event this is the place. Beautiful in all the ways to make memories to last a lifetime. Thank you. *I would have added more photos, but the files were too big for the review page.More

A fantastic place recommended by our driver upon arriving at the airport. The place is 50 years old. Our server was Reuben who has been there 37 years. Couldn’t have been any better to us! Even gave us a complementary dessert! Food was delicious, service…outstanding and the sunset view was simply amazing. Will definitely be going back and highly recommend to anyone traveling to Puerto Vallarta! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️More

We had a wonderful experience here. I had the stuffed chicken breast and my husband had the New York strip. We both cleaned our plates. I wish I had more pictures but I only took one of the appetizer which came with a delicious pesto…sauce and massive shrimp! Axel was our server and he was on top of everything and very pleasant to speak too. Very pretty atmosphere right on the water. We will visit again hopefully soon 🙂More

The views from the restaurant is what makes this restaurant experience worthwhile. It’s an open air restaurant overlooking the Bay of Banderas….very romantic, especially at suppertime. Be sure to get there in time to watch the sunset. I had the chicken parmagiana, which was very…tasty and plentiful. My wife had the lamb. She said the meat was nicely done, but the sauce was a bit overpowering. Prices were on par with other restaurants in PV. The servers were very nice and spoke English. I would go back again.More

We had a group of 9 people and stopped there during our day tour for lunch recommended by our tour guide Cervando! They easily accommodated our group and we had a beautiful view of the ocean! We all had drinks and everyone had something different…for their meal. I had the Mexican platter and it was delicious! Everyone had a tasty meal!!! Would highly recommend this restaurant for the beautiful setting, great food and great staff! Thank you El Set for a wonderful time!More

Had supper at this beautiful seaside restaurant just south of PV. Excellent view of sunset. Varied menu. Service was excellent. We had some cocktails and I ordered their creamed mushroom soup. Again, tasty and served hot. Our friend and I each had their giant shrimp…plate, while my wife had the stuffed chicken breast…you didn’t need a knife to cut it…oh so nicely cooked. Desert was a couple of servings of coconut ice cream…one for our friend, while I share the other with my wife. Erick was our friendly waiter while Ruben oversaw the entire process to make sure everything was to our liking. Highly recommended….the view, the meal and the service…the pina colada fantastic, the passion fruit mojitos just slid down easily.More

We went there when The Cliffs hadn’t opened yet for lunch. Three of us. Seated right on the “balcony”. Great view & unusual with tide pools in the volcanic rock. I had fresh Mai Mai with beans & rice & Pina Colada’s. Service, food, views…& prices were good. I do recommend it. Would go back.More

We came to this restaurant recommended by my step father who came here 37 years ago. When i saw it was still open we decided to go. I cannot say in words how good of a time we had there. We got there earlier so…we sat by the bar and had a few drinks while striking a conversation with t staff. Every staff member was nice than the last. Truly felt special! We then moved to our table with an incredible view of the ocean and sunset. Had which (to our surprise) was the best garlic bread we’ve ever had, followed by a seafood platter that looked and tasted so good. All this while watching one of the prettiest sunsets I’ve ever had the privilege of experiencing, made a really special experience that i can’t wait to repeat. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Puerto Vallarta!More

What a beautiful restaurant! We discovered El Set yesterday on our drive be through Conchas Chinas and we decided to stop for lunch. We had no idea, it was such a beautiful location with breath taking views. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman, our…server Francisco and he was outstanding. Food was great, we ordered Cerviche and the Mexican Platter. Everything was delicious. I would easily compare the views to that of Le Kliff, but nowhere near as expensive. We have recently moved to Vallarta, so we will definitely return.More

Finally got to check out this place and so glad I did. It’s a gorgeous place to have a sunset dinner!!!! The food and drinks were great. Service is friendly and the view is absolutely stunning!!!! Spicy frozen margaritas hit the spot on a warm…night and the Mexican Molcajete is delicious!! It’s basically a combo fajita plate with chicken, shrimp and beef with molcajete sauce which is like a medium spicy salsa. Delicious. It also comes with a small quesadilla and rice and beans. Great value! Also, the chocolate cake and ice cream dessert was delish! Whether you’re looking for a romantic night with someone special or dinner with friends, this is a great spot when visiting PV.More

El Set is in a great location South of PV along the highway. The restaurant sits just above the beach providing excellent views of the ocean and shoreline. That is the major plus of the restaurant. The food was okay, but not great in any…way. Go to El Set for a quiet evening along the ocean. If that is your priority, the food is just fine.More
