Happen to be in the area and wanted a burger. Service was quick, prices good. Burger was good, ingredients fresh. Fries were very good. Wouldn’t seek this place out, but if close by it is a good burger stop.
We have tried multiple times to try their burgers but they are never open even when their website says they should be open. They should post their ACTUAL business hours so people don’t waste their time making a special trip only to find them closed….We were there at noon on a Tuesday and they were closed. If we knew when they are actually open we would like to try it because we have heard good things about their food.More
We have spent a lot of time in Vallarta and recently moved here full time. We have driven by the little lighthouse in the parking lot many, many times. One day I decided to check out the reviews and was stunned by how popular this…restaurant is. We finally made the stop at the popular Jean’s to see what all the hype is about. It was fantastic!!! We ordered the Classic burgers with fries and coleslaw and it definitely lived up to the reviews. The owner Hal was there checking on everything, super friendly. Delicious burger, coleslaw was excellent. Friendly staff, clean kitchen and tables, fast service. We will be back!More
They were very friendly and the food reminded us of burger joints in the states, which is exactly what we needed when we were ready to have some non-Mexican food. Our family loved it.

Wowwww! I have had many burgers in my lifetime, but Jean’s burger tops them all.Quality, taste, freshness and uniqueness. My wife and I stopped by the day before we were flying back to Chicago. We ordered the Origanal, the Hawaiian and when we were done,…we ordered another one cut in half to share. I know you probably think we are overweight, but not, I only say 156 lbs….I also thought that thg he fries and onion rings were fried to perfectly. I have had many burgers, Johnny rockets- overpriced….Culver’s. Schoops. Yadda yadda yadda….if you are traveling to PVR, Jean’s is located just across from holiday inn Express Try Jean’s out, you won’t be dissapointedMore
Jean’s is a small local burger joint in the Marina area of PVR. In a corner of a parking lot, with picnic tables. Nothing fancy, just great food. Burgers taste great. Shakes are also tasty, with some unique flavor selections. And apart from burgers, Jean’s…has smoked brisket. Enjoy a smoked brisket sandwich right there, or take home a to-go pack for dinner. Oh, and have a chat with the owner and you will now have a new friend in PVRMore
These burgers would be the reason I come back to Puerto Vallarta! And the staff was so friendly especially the owner. I will be back again without a doubt!
Amazing burgers!! We all loved it! Milkshake pretty awesome also. My daughter that really doesn’t care for burgers said it was the best burger that’s she’s ever had!!! We also tried the brisket! Definitely delicious! We will be back to this spot when we visit…P V again! Owner was on sight and pleasant to chat with! If I could give more then 5 ***** I totally would!More
Can’t say enough about the wonderful flavors of every kind of sandwich and drink made and served at Jean’s. The recommendations made by owner are right on it. If you haven’t tried the brisket, you are missing out. Plus the cinnamon flavored milkshake was terrific.
If you get tired of the tacos in PV come here for a burger, good shakes and sevice and reasonable prices.
You can taste quality – this place has it / humble hamburger stand that is great spot if at marina on the way to/from airport .
We visited Jean’s twice while in PV, Classic burger was fantastic, filled with a great patty, lettuce, tomatoes and onion, the bun was one of the best we’ve had! If you are in the area we highly recommend!!
Have been there 4 times. Once for brisket but settled for a burger that was pretty darn good but no brisket. Three subsequent times for brisket, first time we’re there too early, second time not today, tomorrow, third time, not today, maybe tomorrow. I’m sure…the brisket is great but would like to know how to make an appointment to try it!More
We eat here every time we are in Puerto Vallarta. The burgers are excellent!!! The owners are great people and we love talking to them. Our son and his fiance went there with us this week. It is now one of their favorits.
