A fantastic restaurant with really friendly helpful staff and home made tacos. We had a mixture of chicken beef and shrimp tacos. Each one was excellent and the salsa and dips to add to the tacos as required were some of the best. Make an…effort and visit. Almost opposite Costco in PV.More
Everything was delicious! We had tacos(chicken and skirt steak) and dinner for two(quesidilla, onion, chicken, steak and shrimp). Steak was so tender and flavorful. So was the chicken. Really great. Love that you can pick and choose items rather than having 4 tacos the same or similar. Menu gives a great range of street food but offers restaurant setting. You are given dips and salsas to start which you can add to tacos,…volcanos, canoes etc. I chose 3 tacos 1 x shrimp, 1 x sirloin, 1 x chorizo which was perfect for heat with a frosty Corona! You have option to keep building on your order to avoid wastage. Really delicious. Staff are bilingual and let you practise your Spanish even if you are as bad as me 🙂More
Delicious tacos, well presented. We were attracted here by the variety of tacos on offer, and we were not disappointed. Tasty tacos served with a variety of salsas and sauces – putting you in charge of how hot & spicy you’d like it! The staff…here are fab, very welcoming, friendly and attentive. Food is cooked on an outdoor grill, where you can watch if you wish. The cool, sheltered patio makes for a relaxed dining atmosphere. Inside seating, with air-conditioning, is also available.More
There were lot of really good reviews so we were surprised with the poor quality of food we received. I had a flank steak kabob and my wife had a chicken queso fundito. There was hardly any chicken in hers …mostly melted cheese…my portion of…steak was so small and cold to boot. and void of any flavour. They forgot our fries…that wasn’t a big deal. Won’t be back.More
My husband and I were staying in the area and were out on some errands with our little dogs on leash when we realized we were well overdue for lunch. We walked by Sonora House and they were happy to seat us out on their…generous patio. They immediately brought water for the dogs. After hastily reading TA reviews, we ordered 2 rib eye quesadillas on flour tortillas. An ample supply of toppings soon arrived at the table (multiple salsas, cilantro, onion, etc.). I ordered a margarita and my husband stuck with water. The quesadillas were wonderful (such great steak on top, cooked to order and cut into small bits). They were still reasonably substantial after we picked off some meat to share with the dogs. We couldn’t quite get over it, so we ordered an additional one to share (as our dogs stood at attention, waiting). My margarita was very good as well. Not the cheapest place in town, but not expensive either. We liked the food/drink quality and wouldn’t hesitate to return.More
I went twice to this restaurant with my all family. We all loved the place and we intend to come back. The service and atmosphere of the restaurant are very good to have a relax meal.
We dropped by while on a walk and are glad we did. The service was friendly and food delicious and fresh. My friends cactus dish was cooked perfectly and I’ll be having that next time. What a nice roadside surprise! We’ll be back for sure.

It’s not that the food was bad; it was by no stretch of the imagination good. If you’re gonna call yourself a meat house ,then your prime rib should be, well, prime. It was not. I expect prime rib to be thick and juicy; this…was better described as skinny and dehydrated. The chistorra appetizer was okay. The salsas uninspired, and the flan was, we think frozen. It did not have a flan consistency. There are so many excellent places to eat in Vallarta, so I think I’ll be skipping this one in the future.More
We were on our way to Costco and wanted to have lunch close by before hand. What a great find! My friend had a steak kebab and I had steak arrachera. I wish I had remembered to take pictures. Service was super friendly and attentive….They brought complimentary tostadas and four different salsas to the table. Everything was very clean and tasted great…and very reasonable. I’m so glad we found his place and will definitely make this a regular stop before we visit Costco.More
Went with a party of three. We all had fillet mignon. They were grilled to perfection. Had baked potatoes that are huge and a big salad also. We will be back soon for some excellent food. Make sure to visit this restaurant when Nuevo Vallarta.
This place came recommended by friends. We were looking for a good spot for steak. Sonora House was recommended. We ended up getting steak fajitas which were excellent. Close to Costco, and not far off the main drag, this turned out to be an excellent…find! Locals eat here, which should tell you something right off the bat. Prices were moderate. The service was excellent. I will definitely be going back!More
Wide variety of meats… cooked beautifully. Tacos, salads, huraches, volcanoes, quesadillas, etc. Nice patio dining or inside for a/c. Easy to find… couple blocks west of COSTCO. We will return soon. 🙂
