This restaurant used to be called La Parilla de Villa Versalles when this space was rented by a previous restauranteur. The name now is El Aguaje Asadero but the old name is still on the building outside. We popped in for lunch, our first visit…here. Both the Arrachera that I had and the Carne Asada my wife had would virtually melt in your mouth. No stringiness or toughness. Absolutely delicious! Our waiter, Viktor, was friendly and efficient. He also speaks some English if you need that. Viktor brought us a complimentary soup “Sopa Frijoles Charros” (“Cowboy bean soup”) which was super flavorful. A variety of several types of cooked dried beans, some small pieces of meat (maybe pork) and cilantro in it. Consider yourself a very fortunate “cowboy” to get this soup. It is one of the best soups we’ve ever had in any country. Simply lip-smacking flavorful. Not hot or spicy at all. My wife had 2 glasses of Cab Sav wine and I had a cold Corona beer. The restaurant is dog friendly too. We’ll be back soon with our little dog with us. Total bill under 500 pesos. There is no decor to speak of. The focus here is not an ambiance it’s on delicious meats grilled over a wood fire and they do a fantastic job with it. I believe the hours are 1-9 pm Tues-Thurs and 9-9 Fri-Sun, closed Mondays. Enjoy!More
We found this place not too far from Hacienda Mosaico. It’s a local place where all the menus are in Spanish. Bring your Google Translator! The food was fabulous. Fresh. A taste of real Mexico. They were able to accommodate vegetarians. My friends enjoyed the…margaritas! The prices were extremely reasonable and the staff were eager to please.More
We did; beef taco a little tough; but, unpretentious, neighborhood joint; plenty of seating; but I would not make a special trip.
We have been to La Parrilla de Villa several times. Every time has been special, from St. Patrick’s day to a birthday celebration! We have had the lobster pasta, cowboy steak, fajitas, and all the dishes have been so Delicious! We will be there in…just a few days. I would recommend this for a great dining experience.More
We eat lunch and breakfast here and even took a meal to go. All meals were really good and relatively cheap. They also accept cards, which was great, since those have the best exchange rates. The sauses/dips are great too, a little spicy, but awesome…taste.More
Good food, reasonable prices, fun place with friends We found the place by accident but have been back
Simply amazing food. The Red Snapper, which my mother-in-law got, was so good that I ate half her meal 🙂 Be careful of the chips and dip…the dip is mucho caliante’
After three weeks Mexico is Oscar his guacamole with chees still number one. Never ate such tender arrachera elsewhere and America’s knowledge of products and hostes skills are far beyond most Mexican places we went. As is the tender Arrachera. Big up!!
The food, the service and the view were all wonderful and the price was the icing on the cake. We were there with four adults, two children and a teenager and unbelieveably we were all pleased.
A bit out of the way, this little restaurant has a very limited menu:queso fundido, with and without chorizo, chorizo alone, and, the star attraction, beef– 6 varieties, including arrachera and rib eye. One orders by weight ( the beef, not yours, though there is…probably a correlation…) and everything comes with beans, roasted scallions, hand made tortillas, roasted (very hot ) chilis, and four sauces. The meat is cut when it is ordered and cooked very precisely to your specification. They also seem to do a large take-out business. Located on Calle Viena, and just off F Villa, it is easy to get to by bus. Highly recommended. Very fairly priced.More
