Accommodated my friend and I at a very late hour! Almost 1am. And the food was so good. I had a shrimp burrito & my friend had a beef one. Thank you so much!!
This was right down the street from Crown Paradise and a great break from buffet food. We ate there two different evenings. Beautiful little bar area. The eating area is small but warm, cozy, and romantic. Food was great and decently priced. Our server was…amazing and the management was super friendly too. We sat on the patio one night and it was great to be outside too. would def go back again.More
My wife and I had dinner last night, at El Mero, a little gem of a casual restaurant, right across from our hotel, Hacienda Buenaventura, located in the Hotel District of Puerto Vallarta. It was a great way to cap off a wonderful, super relaxing…vacation. My wife loved the tall glass of lemonade she ordered. Our appetizer, Nachos with beans and delicious white cheese, left us wondering if we could complete the meal. The main entrees, my sizzling chicken fajitas, with rice and beans and a small salad, came with six soft corn tortillas, while her seafood quesadillas, 3, were absolutely scrumptious. The decor and music were very welcoming, and added a very warm feeling to our excellent dining experience.More
I really like the food here, they are also very kind and great atmosphere. I’ve been coming here often.
we arrived in puerto vallarta the day after thanksgiving. after asking around to find a good local place to eat, we came across El Mero. they offered us the best service we have had anywhere else in North America starting with a friendly greating from…the staff, leading to a stupendous meal (the ribs are excelent as well as the seafood burger), then drinks at the bar with the owner. we didnt expect to have such a great time just by coming for dinner however it was truely an experience meeting the regular guys at the bar. we made many new friends and fishing buddies. Cant wait to go back to see their warm smiles and good vibes.More
We have been coming to El Mero for many years and have never been disappointed. The food is always fresh, and the Margaritas excellent. The staff, including the owner, always greet us warmly and give us wonderful service. The appearance of the building is quite…plain, but the decor inside is warm and attractive. Last year we went there after a significant rainstorm and the chef hadn’t been able to get there, so the owner himself fixed us an outstanding meal. They have always been very accommodating for any request. No visit to Puerto Vallarta would be complete for us without a stop at El Mero.More
We have been coming to El Mero for years. They have made changes to the building and changes to the menu through out the past years but the food and service have been constantly great! This place cant be beat for quality and price. Don’t…miss out!More
The most amazing restaurant in PV. They have a chef that makes any dish you can imagine to the PERFECTION. From chicken avocado salads, to grilled fishes, he knows it all and you will NOT be disappointed. 100 Star restaurant. Its a GEM in Puerto…vallarta. Will go again on every single visit!!! If you’re a food enthusiast, you will not be disappointedMore

What a amazing meal! With a party of nine, its not easy for all to walk away impressed with their dinner, but that’s exactly what owner Alex delivered! A wide array of choices and some incredible appetizers, all affordable priced. I wish I had our…servers name so I could thank him specifically, but everything was great. Thank you Alex! (I do miss the swing though!)More
The chilli relanos are TO DIE FOR!! The staff are SUPER FRIENDLY and the most fantastic hosts you’ll find anywhere in Mexico!
El Mero is located in a mustard yellow building across the highway from the Hacienda Hotel and just north of the Outback Steak House. We dined here on Jan. 23rd and really enjoyed our choices. The plates of food were very nicely arranged with obvious…care to please the eye. The quality of the food was as good as the presentation. The guacamole was served in the shell of the avocado for a nice touch. Dining is available outdoors on the patio or inside the diningroom. Prices were in the moderate range with beer at 25 pesos each. Great place to dine especially if you are staying in the hotel zone. A short walk from the Krystal or Hilton.More
