We have had many nice dinners during our stay in Punta Mita however Carolina’s is several steps ahead. Truly elegant and refined dining. For starts, the room is very elegant – we dined inside but the terrace looked quite lovely. The service is attentive and…not rushed. The wine selection is very good and not ridiculously marked up. We had very nice cocktails and then I had two glasses of wine. Dinner was innovative and tasty – everything we had was superb. The chief serves different small bread for each course – very tasty! We had the steamed tacos and the kampachi toast for appetizers – both were excellent. For our mains, we had the duck and the lobster – what is interesting Is that both were served with a mole sauce but they were different sauces. Dessert was really special – two different kinds of corn desserts. The Chief then came out with a small cookie and introduced himself. Fabulous place! a MUST TRY!!!More
The quality of the food is unbelievable! They really know what they are doing. Alfredo is the best waiter, you can see the excitement about his job and for the cuisine. Don’t leave Carolina for the last of your trip, you’ll regret it, you should…eat here at least twice!More
After my previous visit to Mexico, I wasn’t sure if it was possible for a restaurant to deliver on a level with other high-end venues, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Every bite on the tasting menu was delicious, while also retaining local flair….Our waiter, and the chef had plenty of surprises for us. The tasting menu is a must, as is the wine pairing. One work of warning – be prepared to drink a lot of wine. You may want to take a few hours off from margarita’s on the beach prior to dinner if you don’t want to stumble all the way back to your room.More
The food at Carolina is inventive and really good. The amuse bouche was delicious, as were the appetizers and main courses. The restaurant is very accommodating to dietary preferences and allergies, and the service was terrific. Drinks were awesome. Desserts need a total overhaul. We…ordered three for the table, and they were all a miss. The flavor profiles were off and none of us finished the plates- very unusual for our dessert loving family. The petit fours served at the end of the meal were also strange. I think the pastry chef needs to rework the dessert menu entirely. Go for dinner. Have some cocktails. Skip dessert.More
From the moment we walked into this restaurant we knew we were in for an incredible experience. The atmosphere, service and exquisite food were exemplary and unprecedented. Our previous fine dining experiences now pales in comparison to Carolinas as if the memories of the others…were in black-and-white and Carolinas stood out in vibrant color.More
We went here for a special birthday celebration and it was perfect. The food, the presentation, the service, the atmosphere, the view … everything was fantastic. Cannot recommend it enough
Make sure to visit this place if you are in Punta Mita. We stayed at the Four Seasons but were recommended to go to Carolina’s. I am glad we did. The 6 course menu is the way to go… Staff is accommodating in case you…want something different from what’s on the menu. Service is outstanding. Save room for dessert, it is yummy!More
Very elegant restaurant with talented chef. The food is beautifully presented. Sea bass was fabulous. Lots of extras presented during dinner and dessert.
From the moment you sit down you know this is special. The waitstaff is first class with their knowledge and service. The food itself is above and beyond. Appetizers of soup and octopus started a most memorable dinner ( in fact it was so good…we ate their twice). Main coursed of fresh, local fish were perfect. Not only was it prepared great but the presentation was that of an artist,More
The service, started at the door. Can’t speak more highly of this place. Excellent seating, superb waiter, overall perfect experience. Took the recommendations, wasn’t disappointed. You need to check this place out, if we had time, we’d dine there again on the same trip…it’s that…good!More
