I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner! The food is fresh and delicious! The owner is also the cook and she makes her own salsas! Careful because they’re usually picante!! Her location is perfect having her tables set up just above the Cuale…River. It’s very picturesque. She also has seating inside but really, you want to be at a table overlooking the river. I highly recommend this little hidden secret!More

A hidden gem – Los Girasoles is an authentic family run restaurant with absolutely delicious, homemade food and a kind, friendly family atmosphere. It will definitely be one of the moments I treasure most from visiting Mexico. Gracias Monse!!

We went with friends who had been to the restaurant before. They reserved a table on the riverside. A lovely setting. The service was perfect, thank you Montseratt. The food matched the setting and service. A memorable evening in PV. I will return.

They serve the best volcajete that I have ever had. They are on Naranjo right at the Cuale River. The owners are wonderful people who also do the cooking. You get the real food of Mexico!

This little restaurant is located on Naranjo Street (Orange) in an out of the way section of the Romantic Zone. It is worth a visit and you will find a wonderful group of staff (3) with a trained chef. Mexican dishes many I have never…had but marveled after eating them. (Pollo a la Plaza) Chicken over potatoes with a red sauce and topped with chopped lettuce. Delish. Enchiladas and tacos were a staple. Breakfast at least till noon. Perhaps the best Huavos Rancharos I have ever enjoyed. 65 pesos for the daily special. Posole on Saturday and Sunday. Usually a soup daily as well (Sopa) They have just enough English to make ordering fun tho they have an English menu if you need one. They have only 2 tables inside, a table near front door on the street and 2 tables on the River Cuale. A great place to share a bottle of wine and have guac or starters and enjoy the sun going down. 100 pesos for a bottle of wine (about 6 usd) About a 10 minute walk from the beach on Aquiles Serdan (south side of river. 2 blocks from the swinging bridge across from Isla Cuale. Left on Naranjo about 20 yards.More

We had this after completing Sylvie’s walking tour to the cross on the hill. Very tasty chicken cutlets with rice and nice hot and sweet sauces and lemonade. The bit of coconut in the bread crumb mixture was a nice touch! Very friendly service..

We started going to this restaurant which was out of town nine years ago. They are now at 110 Naranjo in town. We always get the Volcajetes which is: a lava bowl filled with chiroso, chicken, cheese, beef, shrimp, cactus leaf, onion, and a jalapeno….All of this sits in an incredible sauce. You put the ingredients on corn tortillas and dip it into the sauce. The owners provide spoons, so you do not miss any of this sauce. We have brought many people there, and everyone has loved the food. It also comes with dessert. Montse and Martha are there to make certain everything is perfect. They have a full bar and make great Margaritas. You can sit by the river and watch it flow as you enjoy dinner. This is our #1 favorite restaurant!More
