We moved to Puerto Vallarta in early August with no idea where we would live. We had an AirBnb in Fluvial just a few blocks away from Plaza Caracol. We came across Pancho Villa just walking around the neighborhood. At first, we passed by, as…we were more interested in tacos and typical Mexican food. However, we ended up coming back one afternoon as the kids wanted a burger. Not only did we enjoy the burger, wings, and delicious roasted Peruvian chicken, the kids had a great time playing on the trampoline and play area in the back. They have a nice fenced in play area! We enjoyed Panchos so much that we returned a few nights later to pick up food to go during a rainstorm. The place was nearly packed and there was a wonderful gentleman singing which made for a very pleasant atmosphere. This time we ordered a full Peruvian chicken (highly recommended) and an order of chili con carne. We were so impressed with the chili. It was very tasty and the fresh bread was delicious. In the coming days the kids begged to go back to the “trampoline restaurant” so we decided to go when the live singing started around 6 on a Friday. As we were moving into our new rental, we opted to order the big meal of Ribs, Sausage, & Chicken so we would have leftovers. the food was plentiful and tasty. Our rib standards are pretty high, so I will say these ribs were good enough. It’s not easy to find outstanding ribs (depending on where you are). The sausage, chicken, and sides were very good. The singing was delightful. The service was excellent. If you are looking for burgers/roasted chicken/bbq, have a large hungry group to feed, or need a restaurant with a solid play area Pancho Villas is a great option. It’s also very lively at night with music and pool. And I can’t stop thinking about the tasty chili. We plan to head back and try the breakfast for sure! One drawback to Panchos for the ladies is that there are no toilet seats (at least not when we went) so you have to hover or hold it. This looked like a newly-open place to us on the Malécon in Puerto Vallarta. The guacamole was fresh and fabulous, served in a stone bowl. We both had chicken fajitas, and the servings were so huge that we could easily have shared one order! They…wre also really delicious. Arrived on 09/13 at about 10:30 to have breakfast and check out the place with my husband. The place was empty except for us. We sat down and a waitress came and gave us menus, didn’t say a word and walked away. We looked at…the menu and we very quickly decided what we wanted, put the menus on the opposite side of the table. We sat and talked and kept looking at the staff eating and thinking at any minute she was going to come over to take a drink or food order. Needless to say we waited about 10 minutes and not one of them moved. There were two cooks in the open kitchen. Needless to say we just got up and walked out.More
Our apologies. The waitress who waited on you, was new, and you never know what you get with a new employee until they work a few days. She didn’t work out and is no longer with us.
Can always count a great meal at Pancho Villa burgers. It’s our go to when in Puerto Vallarta. Nice menu variety and love the atmosphere. Have recommended to friends/family visiting and they are always very pleased.

My husband and I traveled to Puerto Vallarta last month for vacation and found this wonderful place called Pancho Villa. We had fabulous service alone with the most amazing mushroom burger’s we had every had. We actually ordered a third one it was so good….We both ordered house margarita’s that were also wonderful! Thank you Pancho Villa, will be back for sure to enjoy some great food.More

Didn’t feel welcome. I ordered the half rack of ribs because it was Saturday and they had a 2 for 1 offer. It was big, I couldn’t eat it all. I’ve had much tastier though, but no complaints. We asked how much a bottle of…Wine was and we’re told £18 in English money. Criminal……this is Mexico, not London or New York? My wife had half a chicken at £5 and ordered a salad separately at £4. The half Chicken, a leg and a breast, very very small and still pink in the middle!! I mean £4 for the smallest of salads? Salad is extremely cheap here in Mexico, at least give people value for money, that was scandalous. If you’re advertising as half a Chicken……..serve people half a chicken! A breast and a leg is NOT half a Chicken. On a scale of 1 – 10, I’d give maybe a 3. Not good value for money unless you get the two for one offer. Not surprising there weren’t many in. Would we go again? No chance.More
Feb 2020 Pancho Villa Puerto Vallarta Who knew this would be our last meal with these friends for months on end to come. We had a nice time and good food. We sat in the back of the restaurant away from the street on picnic…table like benches. Our waiter was Manuel. He was friendly and gave good service. We all had drinks and varied meals. One had a mushroom burger for 139 pesos and another a Stuffed Chorizo Potato ( which is a very different presentation than usual) for 99 pesos. I was told the Mushroom burger was very good but the Stuffed potato fell short of expectations. I had a Pancho Villa Burger with sweet fries for 109 pesos, a good-sized burger and shared an order of Onion rings for 49 pesos with my husband. The burgers are served with no garnishes so you go to the salad bar and add what you wish. The atmosphere is very casual. Fun atmosphere and decent food at reasonable prices. We will return.More

We were part of a group of about 25 people and were seated in the garden area at the back of the restaurant, which was appropriate for the number of sittings involved. Service was generally good, except one table was served very late and almost…after every one else had finished their meal; not sure why. We had the 1/4 pounder burgers which were OK at best; as one guest stated they came “naked” as there were no extras although one could help yourself to vegetables as the extras. All the burger items appeared expensive with just about every thing over 150 peso and more. A margarita was 109 pesos ( on the beach you can get 2 margaritas for 70 pesos for both and of the same quality and size) and a small glass of red wine was also 109 pesos. So all in all an expensive place, with nothing unusual to offer. I would not recommend nor returnMore
We have 19 different burgers on the menu, and the meat for all of them is expensive Black Angus Beef imported from the USA. Almost every other restaurant in PV serves their burgers with low quality, inexpensive Mexican beef. They also serve their burgers with…More
Great burgers and wonderful staff! We attended an Expats in Vallarta meet up, hosted at Pancho Villa. The burgers were fantastic and we spent the rest of the evening listening to music and even did the Macarena with three of the staff. A wonderful time…and would definitely return for a burger!More
Thanks for your positive remarks about our restaurant. Our burgers are black angus beef, which is the best meat available for really great burgers. And we feature live music on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. Come have a great burger and enjoy live music.
Nov 2019 Pancho Villa Restaurant Puerto Vallarta Girls night out. We went to Pancho Villa. Very simple open-air Mexican place, serving a variety of foods. They do have daily specials. I had a good margarita for 99 pesos. Sodas were 28 pesos. We shared a…guacamole dish for 109 pesos which was quite tasty. I had a Twice baked stuffed potato with chorizo at 109 pesos and my friend had the same but stuffed with arrechera for 169 pesos. Bother were excellent. Our waitress, Alicia was friendly and service was decent. The menu is quite varied and substantial. Will return.More

Since we moved to Puerto Vallarta we eat at Pancho Villa at least every two weeks. Our three kids love the burgers and so do we. The staff does a great job!

I’m from Germany and actually I’m travelling through Mexico in my camper. Yesterday I stopped at Pancho Villa. The staff is very welcoming and warm and they made me feel good straight from the beginning. They have a lot of staff so you won’t wait…long for service. I asked them for vegetarian options and they prepared a delicious veggie burger plus sides for me. JUST THE BEST! Thank you dear Pancho Villa-Team ????More

Stopped in for a drink and appetizers later in the day. Service was slow, ordered the guacamole but it came with three decorative chips and that’s it, I don’t know how we were expected to eat it so we had to ask for a basket…of chips. It was not all that good of guacamole sadly considering how amazing the avocado are.More

We stopped for burgers and drinks and as usual received great food and great service. Tuesday is two for one burger night as well. There is a free pool table for your use as well.

I live on Maui and there are $20 USD hamburgers not even this good!!!!!!!! I love the wide variety of options the sides the cooks the music the decor and everything at this unique and authentic spot. It’s a must see place!!
